PD Reimagined is born out of Nadine Levitt's blog series "Mind Your Business Ed!", in which she sat down with some of the best minds in business, sports and entertainment. There she realized that the drivers of success in those sectors are completely transferable to education. This innovative teacher training program invites those same thought leaders into the world of education, with the aim of inspiring, celebrating and supporting our teachers!

Having spent almost a decade in education, as an advocate, service provider, board member, teacher, trainer, curriculum writer, policy roundtable member, and a parent, she saw the exhaustion levels rising at every level. She also witnessed the negative momentum this had on the wellbeing and job satisfaction of teachers (and school leaders), and also on academic outcomes for students.
Now, with PD Reimagined, she wants to invite those same thought leaders into the world of education, with the aim of interrupting this momentum through inspiration, celebration and support for our teachers!

US teachers feel stressed, unsupported and unappreciated. Job satisfaction is at an all time low, and
enrollment numbers for new teachers have shrunk by up to 35% in a decade.
We are facing critical teacher shortages, with burnout and attrition, and now, over half our teachers are
thinking of leaving the profession within the next two years. Some states show as high as 66% of our
educators wanting to leave the classroom.
We did the math and realized that if even 10% of them actually leave, it will cripple our public education
system as we know it. But there is something we can do about it!
78% of Teachers reported experiencing frequent job-related stress, compared with 40% for other employed adults. "Frequent job-related stress, feelings of burnout, and symptoms of depression appear to be nearly universal among teachers". (The 2021 State of the U.S. Teacher Survey published by RAND)
Lack of support by Administrator was the highest job stressor according to the 2021 State of the U.S. Teacher Survey Administrators also feel unsupported, with 67% of senior school and college leaders reporting "a lack of timely government guidance" especially throughout the Pandemic.
(YouGov survey commissioned by charity Education Support, September 2020)
36% Educators believe that American society values the teaching profession according to an International Survey published by National Center for Education Statistics, now 54% of teachers said they were "somewhat likely" or "very likely" to leave the teaching profession.
it is indisputable that teachers' outlook (including wellness, mental health and job satisfaction)
affects student outcomes.
And it's a big problem! While 80% of seniors graduate high school, less than half are proficient at reading or math. The National Assessment of Educational Progress, reported that of graduating seniors "only 37 percent performed well enough in both math and reading to be considered ready for freshman college courses in those subjects” (National Center for Education Statistics)
